Over halfway there

I guess I'm starting this blog a little late, as Amanda is at 24 weeks 6 days along. I wasn't really even planning on blogging this whole thing, but people kept asking us if we were going to register for baby stuff somewhere, and we couldn't decide on what we wanted or needed. I didn't even know that registering somewhere was an option, I just thought that you had to gather all this stuff on your own, so that is cool.

Anyway, we looked all around and found stuff we like, but from various different places. So we figured we could just make this blog and post links. That'll be forthcoming, so those of you that are interested might want to keep an eye open.

This is also probably a good way to keep my Mom updated on happenings, as I'm sure she doesn't think I call her often enough :).

I called this Herring Baby 1, because right now we have no idea if there will be more than 1 in the future. This baby wasn't expected, and as far as we knew, impossible, so who knows. Plus, after this one, will we even want another!?!

Amanda might be posting on here, too, who knows. I'm sure she'll identify herself, though. Plus, the grammar will be better...

Maybe later I'll put up some ultrasound images, but I gotta roll right now. Talk at you later.

Oh yeah, if you think there is anything I should put on here, leave me a comment.

Great. They're attacking from both sides now!

Did you call Mom yet?

I thought the purpose of the blog was so we didn't have to call the "grandmas" anymore :-)

That's definitely not the purpose of the blog. :P

I agree.... the purpose of said blog is in part to replace the agony of holding a phone to your ear - especially if said phone is spewing the ramblings of an overly impatient mom.

Blog on dude

I didn't know they registered for kids stuff either. I thought that was only for weddings - boy, am I out of date. Tood bad, though, because I already have stuff for the baby, so you're stuck with it. Forget the wish list.

...spewing the ramblings of an overly impatient mom... You must just love getting yelled at by my mom :-) Too funny. On the plus side, there aren't a lot of times that you agree with me :-)

Hey Susan, we will love anything you have. Neither of us are really sure about this wish list thing. We've actually been hitting a lot of garage sales and have picked up most stuff second hand, saving some money and recycling baby goods. So far we've been pretty fortunate. You have to be picky though, some of the stuff you see looks like a baby has exploded all over it...

Lucky for you, I'm very picky and I think the baby stuff I have is way cool. I remember making dresses and things for Amy and a couple of stuffed toys for Eric, but nothing for you. Wonder why? You were such a cutie! I'll just have to make it up to you by getting darling things for Lily or Thomas.

you have just managed to crumble the walls of Piratetiveness that he has spent years building. Now, at best, he'll be looked upon as one of those kits you buy at "Build a Bear" with the extra added pirate clothing.

Speaking as John's sister I can say he was not cute he was evil and diabolical and Mom always liked him best.
